The Kiss was shortlisted at Cannes. It was named "Best Humor Commercial", "Best Directed Commercial" and "Best of Show" at the International Broadcast Awards in Hollywood. Hallmark's first ever "Made in Canada" brand campaign was directed by Annabel Jankel, co-inventor of cyberpunk, Max Headroom.
